Gulbarga University

The Gulbarga University was established in the year 1980 in the city of Gulbarga which is in the Indian state of Karnataka. The vision of the university is to develop the socio-economic structure of the society and to achieve excellence in higher education. Moreover, the university believes in empowering of the youth and masses through knowledge. Gulbarga University has around 305 colleges affiliated to it.

The Gulbarga University offers diploma/certificate courses, undergraduate courses, postgraduate course and doctoral courses in the following faculties, Faculty of Science and Technology includes departments of Applied Electronics, Applied Geology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Chemistry, Instrumentation Technology, Materials Science, Mathematics, Microbiology, Mineral Processing, Physics, Statistics, Sugar Technology, Zoology. Faculty of Arts includes the departments of Marathi, Sanskrit, Urdu and Persian, English, Hindi. Faculty of Social Sciences includes the departments of Economics, History, Library & Information Science, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Women’s Studies. Faculty of Law includes the department of Law. Faculty of Education includes the departments of Education, Physical Education. Faculty of Commerce and Management includes the departments of Commerce and Management.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The applicants are required to have the intermediate level education, in order to get admission in the undergraduate programs. For the admission in the postgraduate programs, the applicant must have a recognized bachelor’s degree. The eligibility criteria vary according to the programs and fields. For foreign students the eligibility criteria would be Minimum GMAT score = 650.
