Hacettepe University was first founded on February 2, 1954 as part of Ankara University. In 1957, the foundation of the university was laid and in 1958, this University launched their training, studies and further activities. It has 13 faculties, 2 schools, 14 institutes and 6 vocational schools. It has also a large number of research centers. Hacettepe University is known as one of the best universities in Turkey which keeps the values of social development in scientific and technological fields.

Hacettepe University has many faculties including Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Kastamonu Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science.

Graduate Schools

Hacettepe University has some graduate schools for graduate students including Graduate School of Informatics, Graduate School of Educational Sciences, Graduate School of Fine arts, Graduate School of Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry, Graduate School of Nuclear Sciences, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Graduate School of Turkish Studies, Graduate School of Informatics, Graduate School of Science, Graduate School of Public Health, Graduate School of Population Studies and Graduate School of Oncology. It has also two applied Schools naming School of Science and Technology and School of Foreign Languages.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

There are number of ways to get admission for local students but the basic is Admission Test, which is compulsory to take admission as local student. The scores of GAT, SAT and GRE matters for International students and that should be higher than 70%.
