Indian Statistical Institute

The Indian Statistical Institute came into being on 17th December, 1931. The Indian Statistical Institute holds the reputation of being the most prominent and oldest institution with complete focus on Statistics. The Indian Statistical Institute was recognized as the Institute of National Importance. The Indian Statistical Institute not only focuses on the studies of statistics but it also offers programs mathematics, computer science, quantitative economic…etc.

Programs and Courses

The Indian Statistical Institute offers junior research fellowship, certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The programs includes Bachelor of Statistics (Honors), Bachelor of Mathematics (Honors), Master of Statistics, Master of Mathematics, Master of Science in Quantitative Economics, Master of Science in Library and Information Science, Master of Technology in Computer Science ,Master of Technology in Quality, Reliability and Operations Research and Doctor of Philosophy.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The candidates desiring to get admission in the undergraduate programs must have cleared the intermediate education successfully whereas for the admissions in the postgraduate programs, an individual must have a bachelor’s degree. Minimum GMAT score = 650 Minimum GRE score = 320 Minimum SAT score = 2000 is required for foreign students to get admission.
