The university is approved from the University Grants Commission in 1993. Before that it was known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The university has developed a web site. From this website the students can download the whole prospectus due to which a lot of time of these students is saved. Candidates seeking admission in above programs must pass the qualifying 10+2 examination from recognized board with minimum 50 % marks. In order to get admission in BSc Biotechnology program, candidates must clear 10+2 examination with Chemistry & Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology or Physics and physics with 50% marks. Candidates who seek admission in Bachelors of Engineering program must clear the qualifying test with Chemistry & Mathematics and physics with minimum of 50% marks. In order to get admission in MBA program, candidates must have a Bachelors Degree from recognized university. Students who seek admission in MSC / M.A program must have a Bachelor degree in relevant field from recognized universities.
