Sakarya University was first formed by School of Engineering and Architecture in 1970. Finally, school was changed into Sakarya University on July 3, 1992. Sakarya University was formed after 1990s and quickly became an example among the other universities. Sakarya University is the only university having their own public university laboratory. They provide education in Internet infrastructure and Information technology.
Sakarya University has institutes including Institute of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences and Institute of Educational Sciences.
Vocational Schools are for higher education for the students. It includes Vocational School of Sakarya, Vocational School of Hendek, Vocational School of Akyazi, Vocational School of Geyve, Vocational School of Sapanca, Vocational School of Karasu, Vocational School of Adapazari, Vocational School of Pamukova, Vocational School of Alifuat Cebesoy, Vocational School of Ferizli, Vocational School of Health Service, Vocational School of Kaynarca Seyf Selim and Vocational School of Arifiye.

Admission Procedure 2017 - 2018
Admission test is compulsory for the local students. For international students, the marks of the tests GMAT should be higher than 650. Local students are required to appear in entry level test conducted by the university.
