The South Eastern University of Sri Lanka came into being in 1995. The university is on the road to become the center of excellence. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate education. Goal of the university includes popularization of the university nationally and internationally, promotion of research activities, ensuring human resource development through education Etc.

Faculties and Departments

Faculty of Arts & Culture includes departments of Social Sciences, Languages and Geography. The Faculty of Applied Science is divided into three departments: Biological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The Faculty of Islamic Studies & Arabic Language is divided into two departments: Arabic Language and Islamic Studies. The Faculty of Management & Commerce is divided into two departments: Accountancy & Finance and Management.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The university carries out an aptitude test for the students who match the minimum requirement of Z score in the GCE A/levels education. Postgraduate admissions require a bachelor’s degree. International students should possess GMAT.
