Kannada University is the top ranked university in India. Kannada University is also known as Hampi University. It was established in 1991 in Hampi. The goal of the university is to develop Kannada language. It helps to promote the traditions, folklore, culture and literature. The University has three major wings: Adalitanga (Administrative wing), Adhyayananga (Academic wing), Prasaranga (Publication wing)
