Initially, commenced as a small school in 1893, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology achieved the status of University in 1975. It is situated in Kanpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh but it aims to facilitate the farming community of 29 districts of the Uttar Pradesh region. The mission and goal of the University is to promote agricultural education in the rural areas and it also focuses on advance research in the field of agriculture.

Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate, masters, MBA and doctorate programs in three faculties, two of which are in Kanpur and the third one is at Etawah. Faculty of Agriculture includes Dept of Agri Business Management, Dept of Agricultural Biochemistry, Dept of Agricultural Economics and Statistics, Dept of Agricultural Extension, Dept of Agronomy, Dept of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dept of Crop Physiology, Dept of Entomology, Dept of Genetics & Plant Breeding, Dept of Horticulture, Dept of Plant Pathology, Dept of Seed Science and Technology, Dept of Soil Conservation & Water Management, Dept of Forestery, Dept of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Dept of Agriculture Biotechnology. Faculty of Home Science includes Dept of Child & Human Development, Dept of Clothing & Textile, Dept of Food Science & Nutrition, Dept of Family Resource Management, and Dept of Extension Education & Communication Management. Faculty of Technology at Etawah includes Dept of Agril Engg. , Dept of Electronics & Communication Engg, Dept of Computer Science & Engg, Dept of Mechanical Engg, Dept of Humanities, Dept of Math and Dept of English.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The applicant must have intermediate level of education In order to apply for admission in undergraduate programs. In some fields applicant is required to pass the State Entrance Examination. Moreover, to get admission in postgraduate program, applicant must possess bachelor’s degree. For foreign students the criteria for admission is following GMAT = 550 GRE = 280 SAT = 1600.
