The Kirikkale University is located in Anatolia region. The university is located 80 kilometers away from Ankara and the meaning of kirikkale is broken castle.
Faculties
University has divided its faculty into following departments: Faculty of Dentistry, College of education, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts, Law school, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Medicine and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Scientific Research centers developed by the university are numerous and are known as Scientific and Technological Research Laboratories (KUBTAL), Environmental Problems Research and Application Center, Counseling Practice and Research Center, Research Center for Crafts, Application and Research Center for Women's Issues, Cancer Research and Application Center, Kirikkale University, Distance Education Center, Kirikkale and District History Research Center, Red River Research and Application Center, Mushroom Application and Research Laboratory (KUMAL), Application and Research Center for Continuing Education, Foreign Languages Teaching, Research and Application Center and Structure-Soil Research and Studies Center.
