Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya was established in the year 1997 by passing an Act of Parliament. The University is named after the most prominent leader of India Gandhi. The university’s main objective is the promotion of Hindi language not only as a national language but also as an International language. That’s why it has all courses for the Hindi language.

Programs and Courses

Following are the schools and centers in which the programs are offered.
School of Literature includes, Hindi: Comparative Literature and Dramatics & Film Studies. School of Translation & Interpretation includes Hindi: Translation Technology. School of Language includes Hindi: Language Technology, Computational Linguistics, Informatics and Language Engineering, Indian and Foreign Languages. School of Culture includes Non-Violence & Peace Studies, Woman Studies, and Anthropology. Centers are Badanta Anand Kausaulyan Centre for Budhist Studies, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Centre for Dalit & Tribal Studies, Centre for Advanced Studies in Indian and Foreign Languages, Centre for Technology Studies, Centre for Communication & Media Studies, Centre for Dr. Ambedkar Studies, Centre for Budhist Studies, Centre for Nehru Studies, Centre for Dr. Zakir Hussain Studies and Centre for Mahatma Gandhi-Fuji Guruji Peace Studies.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

In order to get the admission in the diploma/certificate or undergraduate course, the candidate should have intermediate education. And for the admissions in the postgraduate programs one must have bachelor’s degree.University conducts common entrance test CET for management sciences and other disciplines.
