Nagarjuna Unviersity came into being in 1976 and it is situated in the city of Gunter which is in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The university is named after one of the greatest Indian philosopher ‘Acharya Nagarjuna’. There are 272 affiliated colleges to the University. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the university with B grade.

Programs and Courses

The university comprises of six colleges in which the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses are offered. Following are the colleges with their respective departments.
College of Arts, Commerce & Law includes Bommidala Department of Human Resource Management, Commerce and Business Administration,Economics, Education, English, Hindi, History and Archaeology, International Business Studies, Journalism & Mass Communication, Life Long Learning (Adult Education), M.B.A. Hospital Administration, Mahayana Buddhist Studies, P.G. Department of Legal Studies, Political Science and Public Administration, Rural Development, Sociology & Social Work, Telugu and Oriental Languages and Tourism & Hospitality Management.
College of Science includes Bio-Chemistry, Biotechnology (DST-FIST Funded department) , Botany ,Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering ,Electronics & Instrumentation Technology, Environmental Science, Foods and Nutritional Science, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Nano-Technology, Physics, Statistics and Zoology & Aquaculture.
College of Physical Education & Sports Science.
College of Pharmaceutical Science.
College of Engineering & Technology includes ECE (Electronic and communications Engineering), CSE (Computer science Engineering), EEE (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Civil (Civil Engineering) and M.E (Mechanical Engineering).

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

In order to get the admission in the undergraduate programs, one must pass intermediate education and then apply for the admissions. Admissions are awarded through merit and common entrance test known as CET results. However, for the admissions in the postgraduate programs an individual should possess a bachelor’s degree.
