The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University was established in the year 1987. The university is named after former Chief Minister of the Indian State Tamil Nadu. The university is also regarded as the second-largest Indian university in the field of Health Sciences. The motto of the university is “Health for All”. It also depicts the objective of the university which is to facilitate the masses with high quality medical education and to polish the manpower for effective contribution to the Alma Ata goals of “health for all” by the year 2020. Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

In order to get the admission in the undergraduate programs, the applicant should have intermediate education. For the admissions in the postgraduate programs, a bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates are required to pass intermediate examination including subjects of physics, chemistry and biology in order to appear in entry test of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) They also need to get 60% marks in intermediate examination.
