Indian Institute of Technology

The Indian Institute of technology was established in 1959 in the city of Kanpur. The Indian Institute of Technology has been recognized by Indian Government as ‘Institute of National Importance’. The institute’s motto is “lead me from darkness to light” and the administration of the Institute is trying best to lead the youth towards the light of education, wisdom and knowledge.

Programs and Courses

Following are the faculties along with their respective departments. Engineering includes departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences & Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial & Management Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Humanities include departments of Humanities and Social Sciences. Management includes department of Industrial and Management Engineering. Sciences include departments of Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, and Physics. Inter Disciplinary includes departments of Environmental Engineering & Management, Laser Technology, Master of Design, Materials Science Program, Nuclear Engineering & Technology.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

For the admissions in the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur) undergraduate programs, a candidate must clear the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) test, whereas other similar tests are required to be cleared in order to get admission in the postgraduate and doctoral programs. Minimum GMAT score = 650 Minimum GRE score = 320 Minimum SAT score = 2000 is required for foreign students to get admission.
