South Gujarat University

South Gujarat University was established in the year 1967. The university has more than 1000 colleges affiliated to it. The university’s motive is to provide excellent higher education to cater the academic needs of the society and masses. The full name of the university is Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and it is named after scholar and poet Narmad. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited the university with ‘B’ grade.

The university comprises of the following departments in which undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses are offered. Department Of Aquatic Biology, Bio Science, Business and Industrial management, Chemistry,Comparative Literature, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Mathematics, M.S.c (I.T), Physics, Public Administration, Human Resource Development, Rural Studies, Sociology, Statistics, Journalism and Mass Communication Programs, M. Sc. Biotechnology, D Architecture, Interior Design and Fine Arts.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The admission criteria vary from department to department. However, general criteria is that the candidate should have intermediate education to be eligible for applying in the undergraduate courses and bachelors degree is necessary for the admissions in the postgraduate programs. Students are required to pass Entrance test conducted by university to get admission in bachelor as well as post graduate programs.
