The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) was established in 1999. It was established with the vision of educating and training IT professionals to meet the need of the booming IT sector in Sri Lanka. It has now grown to be the largest IT degree awarding institute in Sri Lanka. Apart from the education and training of IT professionals, its main objectives include IT consultancy and software services to Sri Lankan private and public sector and conducting research in the field of Information Technology.

SLIIT offers a variety of Computer and Information Technology degree and diploma programs.

Departments

Department of Information Technology, Business and Information Management, Electronic and Computer Engineering and Multimedia and Animation. Undergraduate Programs: Information Technology, BSc Special (Hons) in Information Technology, BSc in Information Technology , BSc in (IT) Interactive Multimedia, Foundation Program, Business Management, BBA (Hons) in Business Management, BBA (Hons) in Business Administration, Electronic Engineering , B Eng (Hons.) in Electronic Engineering and B Eng in Computer Systems Engineering. Postgraduate Programs: MSc in Information Technology, MSc in Information Systems, MSc in Information Management, MSc in Enterprise Application Development and MBA - Sheffield Hallam University.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

To be eligible for admission, the students must possess three passes at any subject in G.C.E advanced level examination. In addition, students also need to pass the aptitude test conducted by SLIIT.
