Chu Hai College of Higher Education

Chu Hai College of Higher Education was originally established in the year 1947 but in 2004 it transformed as Chu Hai College of Higher Education. The college is a private degree awarding institution. The vision of the college is to be counted among the world class universities. Moreover, the mission is to be a bridge between East and West for the exchange of technology and culture. The college is widely known for the programs of Journalism and Chinese History but it also offers other programs including Engineering. 

Programs and Courses

Honours Degree Programmes: Faculty of Science & Engineering: BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, BSc (Hons) in Architecture and BArch (Hons) Architecture. Faculty of Arts: BA (Hons) in Chinese Literature, BA (Hons) in Journalism & Communication and BA (Hons) in English for Professional Communication. Faculty of Commerce: BBA (Hons) Business Administration, BBA (Hons) in Business Information Systems, BBA (Hons) in Finance and BCom (Hons) in Accounting and Banking. Sub-degree Programmes: Associate of General Studies and Associate of Science in Computer Science. Diploma Programme: Diploma in Computer Science. 

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The general entry requirements for the HKDSE applicant are minimum level 3 in Chinese and English language, level 2 in Mathematics & Liberal Studies and level 2 in one elective subject. However, departments have their own requirements too. Those with HKALE qualification: must have HKCEE 5 passes with specific courses i.e. English(Syl. B) + Chinese and HKALE use of English, Chinese language and Culture, one additional A level course passed in HKALE or two passed in AS level and for the admissions in Faculty of Commerce/Faculty of Science and Engineering Programmes requirements are: HKCEE 5 passes with specific subjects i.e. Eng. (Level 2) + Chi. (Level 2) + Math along with HKALE use of English, Chinese Language and Culture, one Additional A Level Subject Passed in HKALE or two passed in AS Level. Foreign students should meet with the above mentioned requirements.
