Manipur University

Manipur University was established in the year 1980. The University was transformed into the Central University on 13th October 2005. There are 76 colleges affiliated to the University and one constituent college.

Programs and Courses

Following are the faculties along with their respective departments in which diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses are offered,
School of Humanities includes Dance Department (Manipuri), English , Hindi, Linguistics , Manipuri , Philosophy .
School of Human and Environmental Science include Anthropology , Earth Science , Geography , and Physical Education .
School of Life Sciences includes Biochemistry, Biotechnology , and Life Science.
School of Mathematical and Physical Science includes Chemistry , Computer Science , Mathematics , Physics , and Statistics.
School of Social Science includes Adult, Continuing Education and Extension, Commerce . Economics, Education, History , Mass Communication, Library and Information Science, Management Studies, Political Science. School of Medical Science includes Regional Institute of Medical Science.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

An individual must successfully clear the intermediate level education in order to be eligible to apply for admissions in the undergraduate or diploma programs. Moreover, one must possess recognized bachelors degree to be eligible for the admissions in the postgraduate courses. It is clear that all admissions in programs offered by Manipur university is only done through Common Entrance exams. After qualifying these exams , they will be called for inteview for further procedure.
