Named after the revolutionary poet Bharathidasan, the Bharathidasan University came into existence in 1982 February. The university’s vision of creating a new world by academic excellence and social reforms is adopted from the poetic writings of Bharathidasan “we will create a new brave world” which is also the motto of the University.

Affiliated Colleges:

The university has affiliated colleges in eight districts namely, Tiruchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Karur, Perambalur, Ariyalur Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam. Approximately 123 colleges are affiliated with the University.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

Bharathidasan University offer admission in Under Graduate programs, Post Graduate programs, and Diploma and Certificate programs. Candidate is required to pass secondary or higher secondary successfully. Admission forms are provided on the website. For foreign students the criteria for admission is following GMAT = 550 GRE = 280 SAT = 1600.
