Mersin University was established on July 3rd, 1992 and began to function on 10th November 1992. It completed its twenty successful years in the academic year 2011-2012. Mersin University started undergraduate programs for the students. The language of Instruction is Turkish, English and German. Their vision is to contribute their country to reach to the level of technological civilization, socially and economically with its education in the lights of science.

Faculties

Mersin University has eleven faculties including The Faculty of Science and Letters, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Communication.

Vocational Schools

Mersin University has eleven vocational schools for the training of students including Anamur Vocational School, Aydincik Vocational School, Erdemli Vocational School, Gülnar Vocational School, Mersin Vocational School, Mut Vocational School, Medical Services Vocational School, Merchant Marine Academy, Silifke Vocational School, Social Sciences Vocational School, Tarsus Vocational School and Technical Sciences Vocational School.

Institutes

Mersin University has three institutes namely Institute of Social Sciences and Institute of Science, the Institute of Health Sciences.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

Mersin University offers undergraduate, graduate and post graduate programs for local and international applicants.
There are many ways to take admission in Mersin University, but for the local students the most important and compulsory way is an Admission Test. For an international student, he should get higher percentage in the tests of SAT and GRE.
