In 1955 the foundations of university formed in Konya. The first serious step was taken when The Institute of Education was opened and affiliated with the Institute for Higher Islamic university. After great efforts, finally Selcuk University was formed in April 11 1975. Earlier, there were two permanent faculties but today there are 21 faculties, six institutes and sixteen vocational schools in Selcuk University.

Institutes:

In Selcuk University there are institutes including Institute of Sciences, Institute of Health Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, Institute of Turkish Studies, Institute of Education Sciences and Research Institute Rumi.

Vocational Schools:

For higher education, there are number of vocational schools for the students. Some of them are Vocational School of Justice, Ali Reza Ercan Akoren Vocational School, Vocational School Aksehir, Beysehir Ali Akkanat Vocational School, Vocational School Steppe, Cihanbeyli Vocational School, Vocational School Cumra, Doganhisar Vocational School, Vocational School Eregli Kemal Akman, Guneysinir Vocational School, Vocational School Hadim, Huglu Vocational School and Vocational School Ilgin.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

For local students, there is admission test which is compulsory. The international students should get high scores of GMAT, GRE and SAT in order to take admission as an international student.
